Strength in My Weakness

Weakness abounds in
my legs despite my soulful objection. How I long for past days of youthful walk, jump, run. Reality defeats my imagery of fun frolicking as the young! continue and time proceeds.

Like my physical weakness, so does my soul reminisce of days long past in youth. I long for what reality shows non-existentant, departed. I turn my woeful eyes and saddened soul to the Healer who gives strength in body,  soul, spirit comforted by God.

I pray for strength to the One who draws me close with His presence felt within my soul. Jesus remind me that youth  is for the young and wisdom  for those from life's experience. Jesus strokes my hair tells me of His love for me continues. His promises are true and   proven as I focus on my  strength in my soul and  that I am loved by the King.

Moon and Stars

Time moving slowly
second by second
days exhaust their
usefulness early
without cause I
readily await the
Moon shining with
artwork of stars and
constellations above
delight to show God's
handiwork and sing
praise for starlight
giving wonderous
sparkle in the skies.

But with dawning of
new day, time must
wander as the day's
ever increasing trek
follows Sun's slow
paces with weariness
awaiting Moon's bright
glow and ascension
with brightness and
constellations cause
great gladness to God.

Mirrors and Spirits

Mirrors and Spirits

Born of sand turned to flesh and bone,
man, woman, child, old, newborn alike.
God creates within us mind, soul, spirit.
But we are created in His image, like Him.
A mirror is a physical object reflecting
whatever passes by--the outer part of being.

The mirror mirrors the mirror of life lived,

but mirror sees no inner essence of spirit or soul.
Yet, I may mirror for you what you want to see.
When my soul-thoughts are deep, unrevealed
God,. My Savior, is the only one to see it all.
You can't hide, don't want to hide from Him
Search Him out so that He may show you
the true image that is mirrored within you.

Just Imagine

Just Imagine

Just imagine a world full of peace. No wars, no terrorists, no bombings or shooting. No violence of any kind against man, beast, or nature. Just imagine the world like this. Is it possible?

Not as long as the world is run by Satan and Evil. But just imagine it. Peaceful leaders, peaceful politicians, peaceful bosses, peaceful families. No infighting or abuse of any kind. Just peace and joy and happiness and rejoicing.

Communities that love other communities and share amongst themselves the resources each has. Just imagine no poverty, no discrimination, no evil competition.

Just imagine that we could live in the world like this. Is it possible? If we each try to impact one other person with kindness and love rather than indifference and hatred, it is possible. But the first step has to come from you.

You see, it's a mindset, an attitude, a life of peace. It's all inclusive. Will you join me? Doesn't it sound enticing? Don't you long for peace, happiness, kindness, joy, rejoicing? Who could show us the way? Could God show it to us?

Are you willing to risk coming to know God so that you can see if He and His Word are real, living in peace and harmony. Loving and unity are part of the equation.

Just imagine that you wake up tomorrow and find all this to be true. Just imagine. Can you?

A White Woman's Thoughts on Martin Luther King Jr. and Rights

" I have a dream..."

Today is the anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. April 4th 1968. He was two years younger than me being born in 1953. He truly was a great man striving to bring equal rights to all people including the African Americans living then and today. If you have never heard the "I have a dream..." speech by Dr. King, please do so. It will shake you and bring you to tears but also let you know about Martin Luther King Jr.

Being of Caucasian race, I never experienced prejudice for my skin color that I was born with. I didn't choose to be white. And African Americans did not choose their dark skin. Yet for centuries ,even today, people have discriminated against people of brown and black color. Why? Not an easy question to answer. The black and brown skinned people were brought to America as slaves. They did not wake up and say, "Let's go to America today." They were sold into slavery for profit so that white people could have cheap/free labor for their agriculture, their farms. Other ethnicities migrated to America for freedom and opportunity. All have been mistreated by those who feel they are superior to these people.

And even after President Abraham Lincoln freed the slave and ended the Civil War, prejudice continues. We are a country of people who are all races, all colors and should have equal rights. Yet we do not. We, as whites were raised to think the black and brown races are inferior to us and even dangerous to us. I grew up during the 50's and 60's when Martin Luther King Jr. was actively fighting for the black race to be treated as an equal race to whites. But even today, in 2018 there is a difference made my some people.

Just ask yourself, "Do I have the right to treat others of different skin color, ethnicity, gender as though they do not have the same rights as me?" "What am I doing right now, today, to ensure that all people have equal rights?" If you can honestly answer those two questions, then I give you credit for helping Martin Luther King Jr. spread his legacy of equal rights for all mankind and I applaud you.

I leave you with five quotes from Martin Luther King Jr. and a poem by Susans Soul. Susan...

Reflections (A Vignette)

As we head into the busy holiday of Holy Week for Easter, find time to relieve your stress by stopping for a little bit of time to read a poem, listen to a song, or meditate or pray. Then, you will be refreshed again.

Reflections (A Vignette)

I
Reflections of light and sun peer through my window. Glimmering colors appear as sparkling arrays of diamonds and rubies as sun’s shining rays peek through. Each glimmer reminds me of hope’s last vestments seen. I celebrate this light show a creative sun source of beauty.
II
Reflections appear as freeze frames of past experiences. Deja vu frames dressed in innocence and light. Future hopes are clothed in colors of pinks and lavenders. Hope reminisces about past and present moments and attaches herself to an assurance of the future.
III
What is to become of the sights, sounds, and smells of my freeze frame events? Will the sights remain while the sounds and smells disappear? I can hear sounds of nature. The rustling of breezes through the autumn leaves. The quiet sound of blossoms falling as the cool chills the air. The smell of lavender and roses permeate my mind as I encounter the changing season’s beauty.
IV
Reflections of past, present, and future mingle with all of the sights, sounds and perfumes of the garden. Autumn’s morning crispness conspires with Summer’s memories to prolong the experiences of my mind’s eye as I beckon to these experiences to allow me communion with God’s glorious creation and His being. A song of joy fills my heart and bursts forth as praises to the Creator.

Poetic and Mezmerizing Questions

This I found on Google Plus It's a 9 min video of the universe set to fabulous music/acoustics. I'm telling you don't miss this... it is mesmerizing. The question that came to mind is, if God created Heaven and Earth, did He create the universe and galaxies that we can view by special equipment and Hubble Telescope? And if He did, is there Biblical evidence-based scripture and verse please? Susans Soul

Gratitude

God is so good. I woke up this morning feeling blessed by Him and realized that I don't give him enough gratitude and thanks for His daily presence in my life.

G-R-A-T-I-T-U-D-E
Getting up this morning
Radiant sunshine today,
All God's blessing He bestows.
Tough times to mold me, lessons learned,
Indwelling of the Holy Spirit as my guide.
Triumph when I think the battle beats me.
Unbelievable miracles in my life.
Dwelling on earth awaiting My Savior's return.
Eternal life given by His Grace.
